Excelling in both NHL and international play, Peter Forsberg was known for a blend of skill and physical play, tasting immediate success by winning the Calder trophy with Quebec in 1995. Playing 14 NHL seasons, Forsberg captured two Stanley Cup titles with Colorado in 1996 and 2001, was a three-time 1st Team All-Star, and won the Art Ross and Hart Trophies in 2003. A member of the IIHF Triple Gold Club, he led Sweden to fold at the 1992 and 1998 World Championships, as well as the 1994 and 2006 Olympics, while his 1994 shootout-winning goal was immortalized forever on a Swedish postage stamp. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2014.
